This site is a tribute to Lucy Jane Wood, who was born on March 19, 1944.

Standing at 4ft 11... (and a half at a push), Lucy was a gentle and loving soul packed with the almighty force of the Geordie tongue lashing if you gave her any lip. A woman who was fiercely independent and who bestowed this trait firmly within her family. 

She would provide support and guidance but balance this with honest home truths, as she was a woman who pulled no punches and told it like it is. Lucy was the glue which held her family together in recent difficult times and the person you always turned to for reassurance.

Lucy was a wife who loved her husband Ken unconditionally, a mother who treasured her children Maria and Ian and a grandmother who cherished her grandchildren Courteney, Dexter, Ben, Ellen and Rudy immensely. She was a sister, a best friend, an aunty, a cousin, a neighbour and highly admired and respected woman. 

She is much loved, will always be remembered and will never be forgotten.
